Adding Right-Click "Browse" functionality to Items on the Assets Tab

Scenario

Several types of scanned devices have a management page that can be accessed by putting the device's IP address in a browser. It would be nice to be able to open a device's management page from within the Prism console.

Solution

The solution is to update the ExternalToolsConfig.ini file that resides where you have the Prism Console installed. By default, the file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\New Boundary\Prism Suite. To add right-click browse functionality, simply add the following two lines to the file.

Save and close the ExternalToolsConfig.file. If the Prism Console was open during this process, close and reopen it. You will now be able to choose Browse from the right-click menu of items on the Assets tab.
