Updating the Agent on the Prism Patch Manager Server
The New Boundary Prism Patch Manager 6.4 Agent for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are shared with Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. In order to extend these agents to these newly supported platforms, the new shared agent (version 6.4.0.504) needs to replace the existing Vista agent on the Prism Patch Manager Server. Use the following steps to replace the agent:
- Download the compressed archive "Update Agent for Windows 7" from the “Related External Links” section on the bottom of this article. Once downloaded, extract to the Update Server
- Copy the extracted files to the Download folder on the Prism Patch Manager Server at the following location, overwriting the existing files of the same name:
<installpath>\New Boundary\Prism Patch Manager Server\Webroot\Download
Note: Windows 7 endpoints will report to the Server as Vista until the 6.4.0.504 agent is successfully deployed to the endpoint and successfully registers with the Server.
