Now when I schedule a task for, lets say 7:30am half the company does not have their machines on yet so the install fails.  I want the patches to install first thing when the user boots up.  I do not have leaf agents installed, nor do I think I should seeing how the computers are all local networked pcs.

Hi Mike,

When Deploying/Installing patches with NO Leaf Agent, when you initiate the install wizard and begin the patch process, when you click 'finish', thats when the patch is deployed to the target machine(s), even if you are scheduling it to install at a later time.  The patches are always immediately deployed to the target machines, if those machines are not on at the time of scheduling, then the deployment will fail (red clock). 

If you run the install wizard when the machines are on, the patch will be deployed.  If you scheduled the patch to install at 6:00am and that computer is now turned off, the patch will install the first time the computer boots up after 6:00am.
