| Hello,
I have compared two freshly installed virtual machines where I test Pictaker. (I've done tests on brand new dual core machines with the same type of result)
Machine A: Windows XP x86, 1 core, 512 Mb of RAM. A baseline scan takes approx 60 seconds, and it takes approx 50 seconds to find and save changes after installation of the application 7-zip (900 kb installer).
Machine B: Windows 7 x64, 2 cores, 1536 Mb of RAM (Defender disabled). A baseline takes more than 5 minutes, and it took approx 7 minutes to find and save changes after installation of 7-zip.
Is this expected behavior? I would expect Pictaker to run a tad slower on Win 7, but not 5-7 times slower? |

| This is expected behavior. It is not Windows 7 that is causing the slowdown, it is accessing the 64 bit registry that causes things to lag a bit. This has been an ongoing bug we have been working on. Everything works fine, but it just tends to take quite a bit longer to take baselines and find changes on 64 bit machines.
