I can manage and then query the machine without any trouble, then I can download the patch and schedule the installation without any problem.  But then, the installation just stops.  I check the deployment status and the status shows Pending and it never goes anywhere.  I have tried it on multiple machines and have had no luck.

These machines do not have a leaf agent installed.  Do I need to install that before I can finalize this installation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the Deployment Report shows status of pending, that means the SP3 files were successfully copied to the target machines. You have to requery the machines to update their status. Have you tried that?
