We have our channel- SQL- and fileservers (where packages reside) located in a subdomain sub1.office.lan.

A new subdomain, sub2.office.lan will be added and the clients in this domain are also going to use all servers above to have their packages deployed. We just want to add an extra channel to the channel server.

Question: is it wise to keep all Prism-related stuff where it is? Or is it better to migrate everything to the domain office.lan (one lever higher in the Active Directory)? Or perhaps there are better suggestions?

Performance, security and installation issues are our main concern.

Thanks again,

Raymond

We think it should be fine to leave "Prism-related stuff" where it is. No need to move it all to the parent domain. You'll want to make sure that members of sub2.office.lan domain have access rights to sub1.office.lan domain if that's where you intend to store packages.
