Maybe if you have a very small channel, say less than 25-50 computers, you could get away with it. But a much better polling frequency would be 10 minutes (our default).

RE: Permissions required for successful deployment of apps.

I had called your tech support and found out the issue was because I had changed the polling interval to 1 hour. The applications were installing as expected. I just wasn't waiting long enough. I changed polling to continuous and all is good in my world of no patience.

RE: Permissions required for successful deployment of apps.

Can you give us more specifics about "does not work"? For example, does the package task run but errors occur during installation and the package rolls back? Or does it just not run (stays in pending state)? Or does the package install but the application doesn't work properly afterwards? The more detail the better.

What properties did you set on the task - allow unattended, run as current user or a different user?

Right-click on the task and choose Reports/Deployment Reports/Deployment Log. Sort on the "Task" column so all reports for this particular task will be grouped. What information do you see about the task deployment?

Permissions required for successful deployment of apps.

I have created a share (\\servername\sharename) on a server and given domain users read permission to the folder and read/execute to the files within the folder. The users definitely have access to this folder as I can d-click the object and run it. However, when I try to deploy a package to a user, it does not work nor does it list any info in the deployment alerts report as to what the issue could be? How can I resolve this?
