I am attempting to create a configuration group that will be based on whether the machine is in another specific configuration group and on the existence of a file on the machine.

Is this possible? I can handle the file portion, but cannot figure out how to check if the system is part of another configuration group.

Thanks for any help.

It isn't possible to check for membership in another configuration group, since the information isn't stored anywhere on the client. The client re-evaluates its group membership every time it talks to the server. That's the "active" part of Prism's Active Update!

For your request, would it work to combine the two separate rulesets into one? For example:

<File Exists> rule AND <registry value (or whatever)> rule

That would work, but I was hoping to avoid the duplicate work. Figured if I already had a group testing for that, it would make more sense to just use membership of that group.
